This is one of the oldest pieced of
techno vinyl I own. I love how everything is so primitive. It's hard to tell
when layered with Alter Ego's "Rocker", but trust me when I say the art of
subtlety didn't exist in Chicago techno/house music in 1987. The heavy panning
on the drums. The repetitive vocal stabs. The middle-school sounding
keyboard. Even the sample... "Jack My Body!"... It's techno for cave men.
As an aside, check out Ruben Fleischer's
on Chicago ghetto producers.
